Then sign-up for the sign-up for the Focus unit Research and Plan a Marketing Campaign at the Kronenburgh Business College in The Hague: "Blended Learning" (classroom and/or online) part-time courses for adults in economics. A business organisation may have an outstanding existing or planned product or service to offer prospective customers, but if those customers do not know about it, they cannot buy it. So a business organisation must make sure it understands the needs of its prospective customers and then enable them to find out about the product or service and how it will benefit them. A careful marketing campaign will help the organisation to achieve this.
In this unit, you will learn how a marketing campaign is planned and developed. You will explore a range of different objectives that can be included in a marketing campaign such as increasing sales or market share, or establishing a brand image, and explore the various stages of the process an organisation goes through when developing its campaign. Using your understanding of these factors, and of marketing models and tools, you will develop your own costed marketing campaign for a given product.
You will examine the marketing aims and objectives for existing products and use your own independent market research data to make recommendations about the type of marketing campaign a business organisation should undertake. To complete the assessment task within this unit, you will need to draw on your learning from across your programme.

There are no entry requirements.

We provide training at MBO4 / HAVO 4-5 level.


You can obtain the Kronenburgh Business College certificate. This certificate gives an exemption within our programme Medewerker Marketing / Online Marketeer KBC4 and our programme Medewerker Marketing / Online Marketeer MBO4.


Lecture times
13.30-20.50 hrs: 3 tutorials in the afternoon and 3 tutorials in the evening. A 10-minute break after each seminar. After the first 3 tutorials there is a big break and many students take a walk through the historic center of The Hague.

College days: on Tuesdays.

Duration of training: 3 lecture days and exam.

We provide the training in class in our building in The Hague. It is also possible to follow the lecture days online via Zoom.

Time investment
Keep in mind that every half-day lecture requires at least one half-day preparation / homework; this is separate from the study time in preparation for the exams.

Participation in all lecture days is important. Practice shows that absence stands in the way of successful completion of a module and study delay is incurred and additional training costs are incurred.



Contact hours
3 lecture days of 6 lecture hours per lecture day + 1.5 hours for exams amounts to a total of 19.5 contact hours.
